A spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean captivated us with the waves crashing against the shore with such ardor, you could almost feel the might of the great body of water before us. At that moment, Baler welcomed us. I felt at peace. My siblings and I had a taste of the renowned Baler surf the very next day.
The exhilaration of having conquered the mountain was totally worth all the challenges of the climb. The climb was truly was truly an unforgettable experience. I would be delighted if I was invited to climb Mt. Udok again; and I can assure you, it’s a climb worth taking.
A small group of bikers from Manila and from the Provincial Tourism Office of Aurora explored the biking routes north of Baler towards Casiguran.

On a bright sunny day in October 2010, we conquered Mt. Udok.
The Pefiancos are scuba divers. But, they just couldn’t resist climbing their very first mountain top, Mt. Udok in Aurora Province. Mama Chili led the way with children Bea, Cathy, Marco and Tommy dutifully following in in her wake to conquer their first mountain.
